I've got my first batch stored in the garage in a large container. It's been in there since early October and it's got a very nice colour to it. My Dad has already bottled 1/5 of it which he is decanting from bottle to bottle until it clears and it will get drunk over x-mas.

Hi all, I picked around 7lb of sloes on Friday. I've washed them, left them to dry, picked out the bad ones, pricked each one at least twice and I now have 6.5lb bagged and in my freezer. Sloes with blemishes & soft sloes

A few of the ones I picked on Friday have blemishes on the skin and others are a bit soft. Are these still any good or do they need to go in the bin?
